Last Sunday Marilynn and I made a pre-Earth Day circuit of some outdoor places in the northern Willamette Valley to the west of where we live to learn more about them. Our route (we called it “le grande tour”) took in:

  • Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation Beaverton Nature Park and Interpretive Center
  •  Fernhill Wetlands (Forest Grove)
  • Henry Hagg Lake and State Park
  • Wapato Lake Unit of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge (near Gaston)
