I just had to post these beautiful lupine growing in the parking lot bioswale at the refuge. They are really coming on. I’ve never seen the kind of peachy color before. I was out there for the native plant sale. The proceeds go to support the staff who organize the volunteer activities.
Speaking of activities, wish me luck on my next assignment. I’m leading a session for 20 — count ’em, 20 — Puddle Stompers, children between 3 and 5! We’re going to have a story, crafts , and then a walk in the refuge. And, oh yeah, we’re going to talk about raptors!
