Last weekend Marilynn and I decided to take a trip to Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve .  When we arrived signs were posted at the trail heads that advised that a cougar had been sighted in the area and the trails were closed until Oregon Fish and Wildlife checked it out.  I’d seen the news of the sighting in a local news feed, but thought nothing of it. So we stuck close to the ponds and wetland-plant arboretum near the headquarters office and got a few wildflower pictures instead.
