KINGFISHER AT WORK

There are kingfishers around the Tualatin River at the TRNWR, or so I’m told. I’ve never actually laid eyes on one long enough to get a picture or see it in action. So I saw an underwater video of a kingfisher snatching a small fish and re-launching itself into the air on Google+. While looking for a link to the video on YouTube I came across this  even more spectacular BBC video with a whole scientific explanation of how its dramatic dive in the water works. Awesome!
