Out at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge we conducted an event for about 50 kindergartners from a Beaverton elementary school this morning. We planned to take the kids on a trip through the refuge and talk about animals and plants along the way. But, because it was raining buckets, we had to do a lot more indoors than we planned.

I had, however, been working on a little video I shot last week in Greenway Park of the dams that beavers have built there. So I took my laptop and showed the video to get the day’s activities rolling. It doesn’t take much with kindergartners to get hands waving and questions flying.

Feedback from volunteers there was that they liked the little flick. So I’m posting it here.
