GREAT BLUE HERON

026 (2)The Great Blue Heron has a long, sinuous neck which it curls into a tight “S” in flight and long legs that trail behind the tail. They gave broad wings that flap slowly when they fly.

They walk slowly like a walking statue as they stalk fish in shallow water and other prey in fields. They make a lightning-fast stab with their sharp bills to impale prey.
